Often mistaken as Voodoo magick, poppets are a form of sympathetic or symbolic magick that originated in Egypt, but was widely used in the near east and Mediterranean. These dolls were usually made from clay and wrapped in cloth. Poppets are primarily used as healing, protection or love charms.
