AIRY FAIRY COMPANY PHILSOPHY AND VISION STATEMENT
We want to create a calm and relaxing environment where people may come and learn and seek advice on spirituality and the environment. Where the customer can purchase quality goods that have not relied on child labour or impoverishment of producers from developing countries, we aim to help these people by buying fair-trade, by tracing our products to producer whist also buying locally wherever possible and investing in the European union, and buying recycled goods. We are dedicated to running a business that has very low detrimental impact on the environment, this is achieved by recycling all waste products by means currently available, having low energy and high efficiency lighting and electrical goods, insulating our property with quality wall and roof insulation and fitting double glazing as we can afford it, looking towards fitting alternative means of energy production and so removing ourselves from the national grid. We also try where possible to look after and encourage wildlife (plants and animals) the first step being achieved by reclaiming the urban jungle behind the shop and the second by beginning the development of the ogham (native tree) wood land, fungus patch, compost heap, pond and herb beds and bird boxes and table. The final step will be to encourage more animal life by installing lady bird boxes, butterfly loving plants and further water features then creating an educational signed walk around the garden. Through all this we aim to help make the somewhere our future generations will not only be in a position to inherit but rejoice that they have received it in such good condition.
